Chicago :: The City
[ ]Streets
The streets of Chicago... everything from the glitzy Magnificent Mile to the shady Lower Wacker Dr. They might seem deserted, but you never know when an Infected could be lurking in the shadows.
00
[ ]Daley Plaza
Named for the longtime mayor Richard J. Daley and his oft-corrupt legacy, Daley Plaza is a major "drop point" for supplies. Once a week food and other necessities are flown in and deposited in front of the looming Picasso sculpture; Immunes have to move quickly, however, if they want to get their hands on the supplies. If you wait too long, Infected will tear into the supplies, and you'll have to resort to foraging through convenience stores.
00
[ ]Police Station
Thanks to the Stella's Freedom organization, the police station has been wholly cleaned out of all its weaponry. However, its multiple cells and interrogation rooms still remain intact, making the formerly busy police station a fine shelter against Infected.
00
[ ]Mercy Hospital
Needless to say, the hospital isn't as bustling as it used to be--but it's still stocked with all its supplies and tools. It'll still take some medical know-how if you want to perform a complicated surgery, but any layperson could use the supplies to fix up a tourniquet or splint... or give themselves a nice injection of adrenaline.
00
[ ]Lincoln Park Zoo
Once an extensive and well-kept zoo, after the Mange Virus hit, Lincoln Park Zoo descended into chaos. Tread with caution around here--you never know when you'll run into a hungry escaped lion.
00
[ ]Garfield Park Conservatory
Like Lincoln Park Zoo, the Conservatory was once well-looked-after and tame. But now the plants have all but reclaimed the building, spreading over the floor and even bursting through the ceiling in some spaces.
00
[ ]Navy Pier (1 sub-board)
Navy Pier was one of the last places that people fled to when the Mange Virus reached Chicago. Thus a place that was once a center for laughter and fun became the final stronghold against the Infected... a stronghold that inevitably fell.
00
[ ]Monroe Harbor
Though most of their owners have gone furry, Monroe Harbor is still packed with boats of all kinds. If you're creative you might be able to get them going again; and since no one's dumping pollution into Lake Michigan anymore, there's plenty of fish out there.
00
[ ]The Field Museum
Despite being located perilously close to Soldier Field, this old natural history museum is relatively quiet. Every once in a while an Infected will roam through and nibble on the animal exhibits, but for the most part the most threatening thing you'll find here is Sue, the t-rex skeleton.
00
[ ]Soldier Field
If you know what's good for you, you'll stay the hell away from Soldier Field. Not because of the horridly contrasting architecture--part toilet bowl, part alien spaceship, part greek temple--but because this is the single largest den of Infected in the city. The hallways, the stands, even the field are teeming with them. Anyone who wanders too close to here obviously has a death wish.

Chicago :: The Residences
[ ]Gold Coast Estates
Once the home of the high class, this extravagant condo has it own pool, sit down restaurant, and bar. Of course, the pool's gotten mucky, the restaurant hasn't been used in years, and the bar is gathering dust (but hey, all that wine and whisky must be aged perfectly by now). Still, most of the rooms are in decent condition; with a little elbow grease, the Gold Coast Estates could easily be made livable again.
00
[ ]Bayside Apartments
The Bayside Apartment complexes aren't really by the bay. However, there is a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan. Not every room is lucky enough to have a view of the shimmering lake, but about half the rooms do. Ironically enough, only the odd numbered rooms have views of the lake worth seeing.

in At a Place Called ::Ve...
[ ]Running Star Motel
Stocked with playrooms, the Running Star Motel is no better than any other rundown place. Formerly frequented by drug addicts, prostitutes, and drunkards, the motel isn't much different from how it was before the virus hit. Most rooms only come with one queen sized bed, a TV, and a VCR/DVD player. The bathrooms no longer function, but at least the lights don't flicker often.

[ ]"Stella's Freedom" Secure Area (2 sub-boards)
A small area on N Michigan Avenue that Stella's Freedom has succesfuly turned into the only Infected free zone in the city.

[ ]Sanctum of The Possesor
An immune sanctuary shrouded in conspiracy. The only proof of its existence is in its radio broadcasts, which have known to contain fanatical religious rants. Perhaps its location will be found by the survivors one day?

[ ]Haven
Actually located in the suburbs about an hour's drive away from Chicago, Haven is a townhouse that many Immunes call home. It can get cramped and hectic at times, but it's safe.
